Hi! My name is Rick Abbiati, founder of Colony Property Investments, LLC. I’m a native New Englander, born and raised in Vermont, and for the past 20 years, I’ve been a resident of New Hampshire. I have travelled through the majority of states, but always realized New England is my home (ask me if I still feel that way in January or February). Actually, I grew up in Ski Country, and I do enjoy the change of seasons.
I’m a Navy veteran, and served aboard a submarine as a Data Systems Technician. I still managed to maintain my sanity after a few years traveling around months on end in a metal tube hundreds of feet undersea, with 100+ of my best buddies packed into a tight space. Not only was serving in the Navy a great experience and where my career began, but most importantly were the invaluable life lessons learned and experienced that I’ve carried throughout my career. These life lessons are at the core of our business today: discipline, ethics and integrity, respect, being resourceful and making decisions under pressure, teamwork, collaboration, and caring for others.
With a Business degree in Operations and Project Management, and over 30 years of engineering, project management, and customer service experience, it’s the people aspect and problem solving that have driven me. It boils down to having loyal, motivated, and happy high-performing customer-focused teams, which has consistently resulted in very happy and loyal customers.
In 2016, Colony Property Investments was born! It was an opportunity to combine house redevelopment with solving problems and helping people. Now that’s incredibly fun and rewarding! It’s been a great ride so far!
